At 91, this legendary actress still turns heads after a facelift – see her transformation

Few figures in Hollywood have remained as recognizable and enduring as Shirley MacLaine. With a career spanning more than 70 years, she stands as one of the most accomplished performers in film history.

Born in Richmond, Virginia, in 1934, she grew up alongside her younger brother, Warren Beatty. Her early training in ballet helped shape the discipline and confidence that would later define her career.

After high school, she moved to New York to pursue performing. Her breakthrough came on Broadway in The Pajama Game, where stepping in for an injured lead caught the attention of producer Hal Wallis, launching her film career.

She made her screen debut in The Trouble with Harry, directed by Alfred Hitchcock. From there, her unique presence quickly set her apart in Hollywood.

Her early success included Oscar-nominated roles in Some Came Running, The Apartment, and Irma la Douce. She ultimately won Best Actress for Terms of Endearment, cementing her legacy.

Beyond the Academy Awards, she earned multiple honors, including Golden Globes, an Emmy, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and the AFI Life Achievement Award. These accolades reflect both her talent and longevity.

Despite her fame, MacLaine has often emphasized discipline and honesty over glamour. She has described herself as practical rather than a “diva,” crediting her long career to hard work and curiosity.

Even in her 90s, she continues to take on new projects, proving her enduring passion for acting. More than a Hollywood icon, she remains a living connection to a remarkable era of cinema—still active, still evolving, and still unmistakably present.
